Orono Bog Boardwalk volunteers will hold their 5th annual yard sale on Saturday, June 14, 2008

(rain date Sunday, June 15th) at 139 Main Street in Orono.  Over the last 4 years we have raised

over $12,000.  Last year, over 40 families donated items for the sale and we raised over $4,000 for the

Boardwalk. This year, the money raised will go towards our endowment fund which will in turn

help to maintain and operate the Boardwalk.  We already have a good start on items for the sale.

Let’s try to match or exceed our donations and sales from last year!  Please contact Jim Bird ((h) 866-2578

or Jim.Bird@umit.maine.edu) if you have items to donate and/or if you would like to help the day

of the sale.  Set up starts at 5am and we need at least 10 people.  This year we are unable to

accept computers, televisions, refrigerators, or bedding.  Items can be delivered to 139 Main

Street, Orono starting May 1st.  Please give Jim a call or an e-mail in advance of dropping items

off.  We can also arrange to pick up your items.   Let’s continue to make this yard sale a successful,

yearly fund raising event!
