Beginning later this summer, the Orono Land Trust will simplify its membership renewal schedule.  Many members have commented that it is hard to remember when to renew, and in truth almost one third of the memberships are overdue.  The Board of Directors believes this problem can be vastly improved by changing from a rolling membership renewal system to having all memberships due by January of each year.  A schedule has been set up for this conversion, which will start as of January, 2009.  Stated simply, if you have a paid up membership as of July, 2008, your next renewal date will be by January 1, 2009.  We realize this will be confusing at first, but by this time next year I think everyone will appreciate the fact that all memberships are due by January 1 of every year.  We will be sending you reminder cards later this year to minimize confusion as this new policy is instituted.
